- Deceased Estates
- Estate Planning
I have been in the legal industry for my whole working life from the age of 18 – I was admitted as a lawyer in 1989, after being employed as a receptionist progressing to that of secretary and then paralegal while I studied.
I am lucky enough to have worked at a number of law firms in my career – alongside a number of knowledgeable support staff, lawyers and barristers. I was very fortunate to have had an exceptional mentor. This has given me a breadth of experience in all sorts of matters with a strong general practice background. The earlier part of my career saw me practising in areas such as family law, conveyancing, personal injury, deceased estates and estate planning. Currently in the latter years of my career I am now concentrating on the areas of Wills, Probate and Estate Planning.
I had my own practice in Cronulla for over 15 years operating as a sole practitioner until approximately 2011 when I amalgamated that practice with a larger firm in Cronulla where I continued to work as a Consultant prior to making the move to Lake Macquarie. I appreciate what goes into running a law practice, and a business generally.
“I am always seeking challenges in this competitive world. I approach all of my client’s issues with dedication and compassion.”
I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve as a Councillor of the Law Society of New South Wales which in turn brought with it the invaluable experience of serving on various committees including those dealing with family law, property, personal injury and elder law. The opportunity followed for me to be appointed to the Council of Law Reporting.
I have been told that I project as a confident speaker – I have spoken at various venues including probus, retirement villages previously in Cronulla and more recently in Lake Macquarie/Newcastle areas. I was a member of the Law Society Speakers Bureau. On occasions I was invited by the College of Law to assist with the chairing of seminars or training programmes for the legal profession.
In around 2012, my husband and I thought we were due for a ‘sea change’ so I relocated with him to the Lake Macquarie area from Cronulla. This has been a long term plan for us both and has enabled our lifestyle to incorporate all the things we love such as boating, fishing and water activities generally that are offered by our beautiful lake and beaches.
